METRO BUS SCHEDULE & ROUTE INFORMATION

Metro Bus has many resources to help find your way, plan your trip and get you where you need to go. All Metro Bus Fixed Routes run on a set route with pre-determined stops and schedules.

Metro Bus is closed New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day and closes early Christmas Eve.

Our online Trip Planner tells you which routes to take as well as individual bus stop timetables. Simply enter your starting point, destination and when you wish to travel and Trip Planner does the rest.

METRO BUS SMART RIDE APP

The Metro Bus Smart Ride App trip planner tool identifies fixed routes by estimated arrival time, most affordable trip, number of transfers or minimum walking time to a bus stop. Free for mobile devices.

GOOGLE TRANSIT

Fixed Route stops and schedules are available for travel planning on Google Maps. Enter your starting point and destination, then select the Public Transit option.

Sauk Rapids Jingle and Mingle Detour Affects Routes 22 & 33

Begins on: Saturday 12/6/2025 at 3:45 PM, due to Sauk Rapids Jingle and Mingle parade

Route 22 Outbound – detour begins at 2nd Av and Benton Dr

  • Left on Benton Dr
  • Straight on Benton Dr — back on route
    • Some bus stops will not be served during this detour and are indicated with red X’s. No temporary bus stops have been added.
      Starting Saturday December 6th,2025 at 1545, this detour will begin for the Sauk Rapids Holiday Light Parade. Route 22 outbound will take a left on Benton Drive and continue until back on route. When the parade is over, the route will open back up. Bus operators are to stop, when safe, for passengers standing on Benton Drive. There will be no temporary bus stops for this detour.

Route 22 Inbound – detour begins at 1st St S and Summit Av

  • Left on Summit Av S
  • Right on Benton Dr
  • Left on 2nd Av S — back on route
    • Some bus stops will not be served during this detour and are indicated with red X’s. No temporary bus stops have been added.
      Starting Saturday December 7th, 2024 at 1545, this detour will begin for the Sauk Rapids Holiday Light Parade. Route 22 Inbound will take a left on Summit, right on Benton Drive, left on 2nd Ave S. Back on route. When the parade is over, route will open back up. There will be no temporary bus stops for this detour.

Route 33 – detour begins at 2nd St N and Benton Dr

  • Right on Benton Dr
  • Right on 1st St N
  • Left on Railway Av
  • Left on 1st St S
  • Left on Benton Dr — back on route
    • Some bus stops will not be served during this detour and are indicated with red X’s. No temporary bus stops have been added.
      Starting December 10th, 2022, at 1545, 2nd Ave will be closed for the Holiday Light Parade. Route 33 will turn right on Benton Drive, Right on 1st St. N, left on Railway Ave, left on 1st St. S, Left on Benton Drive then resume Route. There will be no temporary bus stops for this detour. The operator needs to wait for the time point on Railway Ave.

Detour ends when the parade is over.

We ask that customers pause calling unless absolutely necessary until full service is restored. We apologize for any inconvenience!
