METRO BUS SCHEDULE & ROUTE INFORMATION

Metro Bus has many resources to help find your way, plan your trip and get you where you need to go. All Metro Bus Fixed Routes run on a set route with pre-determined stops and schedules.

Metro Bus is closed New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day and closes early Christmas Eve.

Our online Trip Planner tells you which routes to take as well as individual bus stop timetables. Simply enter your starting point, destination and when you wish to travel and Trip Planner does the rest.

METRO BUS SMART RIDE APP

The Metro Bus Smart Ride App trip planner tool identifies fixed routes by estimated arrival time, most affordable trip, number of transfers or minimum walking time to a bus stop. Free for mobile devices.

GOOGLE TRANSIT

Fixed Route stops and schedules are available for travel planning on Google Maps. Enter your starting point and destination, then select the Public Transit option.

ALERTS & DETOURS

Detour Affects Routes 5, 8, 11 & 12 in St. Cloud

Begins on: Friday 10/17/2024 due to a road closure on 5th Av

Routes 5, 8, 11 & 12 Outbound – detour begins at 5th Av & 3rd St S

  • Right on 3rd St S
  • Left on 7th Av S
  • Left on 4th St S
  • Right on 5th Av S — back on route
    • Some bus stops will not be served during this detour and are indicated with red X’s. No temporary bus stops have been added.
      Starting immediately, Routes 5, 8, 11 and 12 will be on detour due to road closed. From 5th Ave S make a Left on 3rd St S. turning right on 4th Ave S. turning right at Ramsey Place then left at 5th Ave S. Resume route. This detour will remain until 5th Ave S is open.

Routes 5, 8, 11 & 12 Inbound to the Transit Center – detour begins at 5th Av S & 4th St S

  • Left on 4th St S
  • Right on 7th Av S — back on route
    • Some bus stops will not be served during this detour and are indicated with red X’s. No temporary bus stops have been added.
      Starting immediately, Routes 5, 8, 11 and 12 will be on detour due to road closed. From 5th Ave S make a Right on Ramsey Pl. turning Left on 4th Ave S. turning Left at 3rd St S then Right at 5th Ave S. Resume route. This detour will remain until 5th Ave S is open.

Detour will end when the road is reopened.

Detour Affects Route 12 Outbound

Begins on: Thursday 5/7/2025 at 5 AM due to road construction

Route 12 Outbound – detour begins at Clearwater Rd & 43rd St S

  • Left on Clearwater Rd — back on route
    • Some bus stops will not be served during this detour and are indicated with red X’s. No temporary bus stops have been added.
      Starting Thursday May 8, 2025, Heatherwood road will be closed. Route 12 will take a left on Clearwater Road from 43rd St. S, then resume Route. There will be no temporary bus stops for this detour.

Detour is expected to last until mid-June.

There are no detours at this time.
