Metro Bus Dial-a-Ride | General Public | Schedule a Ride Return to Home Page
To schedule a ride, call 252.1010 up to one week in advance of your ride. If this is your first time scheduling a ride with Metro Bus Dial-a-Ride, allow a few extra minutes. The dispatcher will need to register you in our system. The dispatcher will ask for your current home address and phone number. They will explain how the Metro Bus Dial-a-Ride service works and answer any questions you might have. Once you are registered the dispatcher can schedule your ride.
The dispatcher will need you to give your name, origin address, destination address, desired arrival time at destination address, and whether a companion or children will be accompanying you for each trip scheduled. Every effort will be made to schedule trip requests at the specific time desired. The dispatcher may need to suggest an earlier pick up time to get you to your destination in a timely fashion. However, due to system capacity and limitations, or for other reasons, it may not always be possible to meet all trip requests. Drivers cannot take appointments or make changes to any previously scheduled rides.
The caller will be provided with a scheduled pick up time. The dispatchers will explain where you will need to be standing to be able to have the bus locate you for your pick up. All passengers are asked to allow at least 20 minutes to pass beyond their pick up time before calling the office to inquire about their ride.
