St. Cloud State University (SCSU)

  •  11 University: Connects SCSU to the rest of the bus system 7 days a week. The route loops between the Metro Bus Transit Center in downtown St. Cloud to SCSU and the area south of SCSU. Mon-Fri: Every 30 minutes. Sat & Sun: Every hour.

  • Routes 81-85 Campus Clippers: Provide direct service between popular off-campus student housing and SCSU Mon-Fri, eliminating need for parking on campus or transfering buses. Operates Fall and Spring semesters when SCSU is in session.

  • 91/92 Husky Shuttles: Run between K & Q Parking Lots and main campus.

    Operates Fall and Spring semesters when SCSU is in session. Click links for schedules and maps.

91 Husky Shuttle Day: Mon-Fri: Every 10 minutes, runs a small loop from parking to Shoemaker Hall and Wick Science Bldg.
92 Husky Shuttle Night: Sun-Thur: Every 20 minutes, runs larger loop from parking to Miller Center, Atwood and all residence halls.

  • 93 Sundowner: Provides evening service from campus for those in the defined service area, 7 nights a week. Departs SCSU from Miller Center every 30 minutes. Operates Fall and Spring semesters when SCSU is in session. Click link for instructions, schedule and map.

  • Late Night Buses: Travel between downtown, SCSU and popular student apartments: Thur, Fri & Sat from 10:15 pm - 2:30 am. Operates Fall and Spring semesters when SCSU is in session. This service is paid entirely by students on a credit hour fee. Click links for schedules and maps.

St. Cloud Technical & Community College (SCTCC)

Metro Bus operates four routes that directly serve the SCTCC campus seven days a week, all year round for students, employees and visitors.

SCTCC students are eligible to ride all Metro Bus routes through the U-Pass Free Ride Program. The new SCTCC student ID cards now serve as a bus pass. Simply swipe the ID through the farebox to ride.

The College of St. Scholastica, Minnesota School of Business and Rasmussen College are located near bus stops. While these colleges do not participate in the U-Pass Free Ride program, Metro Bus is still an affordable transportation option.

SCSU Routes Operating Times

Campus Clipper, Husky Shuttle, Sundowner and Late Nite routes operate only fall and spring semesters.  These routes do not operate when classes are not in session (except during final exams), New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day.  Operating calendars can be found on all SCSU routes schedules. 


SCSU and SCTCC students currently enrolled and participating in the student activity fee program and SCSU employees can ride any Metro Bus route all year for free by swiping their current I.D. through the farebox. The Metro Bus U-Pass Free Ride program allows SCSU and SCTCC students and SCSU employees to have unlimited fixed route bus service throughout the four city (St. Cloud, Sauk Rapids, Sartell and Waite Park) area.
